Health cuts in Alberta have changed the scope of the health field in Calgary. Some hospitals have been closed and their services moved elsewhere. It's always important to know what hospital is the closest to your home, and what services are available there.

Foothills Provincial Hospital

Services: 24-hour emergency, heli-pad, trauma unit, intensive care unit, operating theatres, medicine, surgery, high-risk maternity and newborn care, the Burn Unit, bone marrow transplantation, the provincial Poison and Drug Information Service (PADIS), Addictive Disorders Clinics, the Regional Fertility Program, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Thi sis the city's biggest hospital.
