Victoria Anti-Smoking Bylaw The BC Capital Region District enacted a bylaw in January 1999 that prohibits smoking in all public places, including restaurants, bars, bingo halls, and casinos, in workplaces, and educational institutions including school-yards. Designated smoking rooms are not permitted. You can't light up anywhere indoors except in a private residence or private vehicle.
